Along for the Ride (The Play)

aftrplay

Although Along for the Ride was not really a Stage Two production, it might as well have been. I wanted to star in a play that would be easy to stage and also translate to the large screen. After an exhaustive search, we found a two person comedy Along for the Ride. The World Premiere presented in Los Angeles at 2nd Stage Theater in 1994, received critical acclaim and won several awards. By the time it became Along for the Ride the film (2000), I was the director and it was a dark comedy/drama.  The play co-starred Matt Miller as older brother Terry to my younger brother Vance.  It was written by Randall Wheatley, Directed by Paul Fagan, Production Design by Douglas D. Smith and Stage Managed by Robert Drake.
