Artist Chuck Close said, "It's the easiest medium in which to be competent. Anybody with a point and shoot camera can take a competent picture. But it's the hardest medium to express some kind of personal vision because there is no touch, there is no hand, there is no physicality. The fact that you can have recognizable authorship means they really have done something, because it's a damn hard thing to do."

I've been in love with filmmaking and photography since grade school. It's always been a part of my life. Even when I have been on other personal adventures, it has remained a constant.

My parents got me a Kodak Instamatic to shoot my very first pictures. When I was a junior in High School I got a Mamiya 35mm camera that I used throughout high school. Eventually I moved on to a Nikon FM and FM2 as well as a Yashika-24, all of which I still have today.

Now I almost exclusively shoot digital using Fuji and Nikon cameras.
